The choice of hair loss treatments is steadily increasing, ranging from the cosmetic (camouflage, thickeners, hair pieces and wigs) to the medical (tablets, shampoos and lotions) through to surgical procedures (Strip FUT and FUE). All of these options are constantly being refined to enhance their effectiveness – and here at Vertex, we strive to remain constantly up-to-date with the latest in the field of hair loss management and trichology.
We have listed in this page the treatment options we offer, giving you detailed information about what the treatments involve.

Surgical treatments
These medical procedures are conducted in our sterile and purpose built procedure rooms. The surgery is carried out by an experienced team led by our full time Hair transplantation surgeon – Dr. Taleb Barghouthi. While the techniques we use – Strip FUT and FUE – vary in the particulars involved, they all essentially transfer healthy hair follicles from the permanent donor area of the scalp to areas suffering or likely to suffer from hair loss.

Medical Treatments
At Vertex, we can recommend a range of market-leading, evidence-based medications that stimulate hair growth and/or slow down the process of hair loss.
These include:
- Minoxidil (Rogaine ®) Lotion or foam
- Finasteride (Propecia ® or Proscar ®)
- Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution
Low Level Light (Laser) Therapy
Lasers can be used for the treatment of male and female pattern hair loss, and work by delivering low level laser light directly to target tissue. This light is absorbed by cells in the scalp and provides a boost of energy to protein production at the cellular level, hence triggering hair growth.
Platelet Rich Plasma
PRP therapy for hair loss is a treatment that involves withdrawing a patient’s own blood, processing it so that only the enriched cells (platelet-rich plasma) remain, and injecting it into the scalp. PRP contains essential proteins and growth factors that were found to stimulate natural hair growth in a limited number of studies. The treatment can also be combined with hair transplant surgery, microneedling or medications such as Finasteride and Minoxidil.
At Vertex, we strive to offer advanced, evidence-based and cost effective treatments to our clients. At the current time, we still echo the belief of many leading hair transplant surgeons, that PRP for hair restoration is still controversial. A recent systemic review of PRP for hair restoration concluded that “most of the reviewed studies on PRP hair treatment had important methodological deficiencies.” Such deficiencies include the lack of approved scientific devices for PRP preparation, the lack of a reference protocol regarding the frequency of PRP injections, as well as the injected amount of PRP that is effective. Most studies also had a small sample size of patients and a lack of detailed reports in patients’ characteristics and used statistical methods.
Hair systems
Vertex -and through our partnership with Cesare Ragazzi Laboratories- is currently the only clinic in the MENA region to offer the patented CNC hair replacement system. This unique hair system is desiged for clients who are not willing to undergo hair transplantation or are unsuitable candidates for surgery.
